Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using HabitBet, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HabitBet. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may not share accounts or use another person's account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Goal Integrity

You agree to submit only honest goal proof. Submitting fraudulent photo proof, manipulating HealthKit data, or otherwise misrepresenting goal completion violates these terms and may result in permanent account suspension.

5. Market Resolution

Markets resolve through one of two methods:

• Photo proof: You submit a photo which Claude AI (Anthropic) evaluates. The AI confidence score determines the outcome. Resolution is final.
• HealthKit auto-resolution: For fitness goals, markets automatically resolve at the deadline using your Apple HealthKit data. No manual submission is required.

In cases of clear technical error we may intervene at our discretion, but we make no guarantee of any particular outcome.

6. Reputation and Streaks

Every goal you post affects your reputation score and win streak. These are visible to other users and influence the opening odds the crowd assigns to your future goals. A streak resets to zero on any failed goal. Reputation scores are calculated automatically and are not manually adjustable.

7. Creator Bonuses

When you create a goal and the majority of bettors bet against you, a successful completion earns you a bonus from the total pool in addition to your standard payout. Bonus size scales with the degree of crowd doubt.

8. Push Notifications

By granting notification permission, you consent to receiving alerts for events including bets placed against your goals, market resolutions, payout wins, and deadline reminders. You may revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

9. Content

You retain ownership of photos and content you submit. By submitting content, you grant HabitBet a limited license to display and process it solely for platform operation. Do not submit content that is illegal, explicit, or violates others' rights.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

HabitBet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or accurate AI verification.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of HabitBet after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via push notification or email.
